THE ARTIFACT
This white beach tile was reclaimed from the shores of Lake Erie. Each piece is unique. I have hand-wrapped the tile in silver wire and added coordinating white and black bead accents. Comes with a suction cup.

THE ORIGIN
These geometric artifacts often began as early 20th-century architectural porcelain or encaustic tiles from lakeside homesteads and industrial sites, or from crocks or dishware. Over the decades, the relentless churning of the Lake Erie shelf has ‘untamed’ their rigid edges, refining man-made masonry into soft, tactile sea-gems that carry the weight of local history.
